2018 Domaine de la Pousse d'Or Volnay Clos de la Bousse d'Or Amphore Premier Cru
An airy, cool and slightly more elegant nose isn't quite as spicy, but it is certainly higher-toned with its combination of red and dark currant, cherry and discreetly floral-suffused aromas. There is once again excellent energy to the strikingly well-detailed flavors that are almost as mineral-laden, all wrapped in a refreshing and youthfully austere finale. Good stuff and despite being firmly structured, this could actually be enjoyed young.

The second sample, served blind in the pairing of Clos de la Bousse d'Or. In this pairing there was little evident difference in evolution between the two samples. This one was a little deeper in colour. Fresh and racy on the palate, perhaps more alpine strawberries, very floral, extremely long.
