2018 Dappled Appellation Pinot Noir

A blend of cool upper Yarra vineyards and selected valley floor sites with 30% whole bunch inclusion and maturation taking place in French oak (15% new) for a period of 10 months.

Semi translucent dark red colour with a light red hue. Emanating from the glass are fragrant aromatics of ripe red cherries intermixed with a hint of sour cherries and violets followed by forest floor characters, game and spice. Supple and expansive in its feel, savoury ripe cherry, subtle sour cherry and forest floor elements decorate the light weight palate. Excellent follow through with game and subtle spicy dried herb characters also evident. Bright finish with very refined, silky tannins and a long elegant aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
