2018 Dappled Appellation Chardonnay

A blend of upper and lower Yarra vineyards with maturation taking place in French oak (20% new) and left on lees for 10 months. Brilliant pale straw colour with a subtle glimmer of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Aromas of nectarine and citrus infused with gun flint are pursued by light dried honey and spice notes. The palate has good flesh and richness with white peach and nectarine flavours dominate over dried honey, light biscuity nougat characters and traces of gun flint. Finishes clean and dry with good freshness and a long aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
