2019 Dandelion Vineyards Menagerie of the Barossa Grenache Shiraz Mataro

This highly appealing blend of 70% Grenache, 25% Shiraz and 5% Mataro was matured in old French oak barriques for 12 months. Black opaque colour with a dark red black tinged hue. Sailing through the nostrils are elevated dark raspberry, ripe plum and liquorice scents with subtle herb du Provence and vanillin confectionary notes also present. Plump and juicy the palate is awash with a mix of rich dark raspberry, liquorice and blueberry fruits which overlay vanillin confectionary characters, light earth and subtle spice. Silky smooth tannins showing excellent drive right through to the long plush aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
