Showing excellent depth this wine has a deep dark red core with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Perfumed aromatics of violets, dark cherries and strawberries show terrific intensity. Forest floor, fragrant fresh herb notes, a subtle meatiness and spicy cedar ensues. Rich, expansive and supple in its feel, generous red to dark cherry and strawberry fruits fan out across the palate like peacocks tail generating tremendous power. A subtle meatiness, elements of forest floor, fresh herbs and spicy cedar sit in the background to provide greater complexity. Good freshness with a fine matrix of tannins perfectly integrated with the fruit. Serious depth with a long engaging finish.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
Alc. 13.5%

Other Reviews….
This is the main release from all parts of the vineyard. MV6, 115 and 114 clones, 20% whole bunch, 28 days on skins, matured for 16 months in oak (20% new). Fine, elegant and fragrant cherry and pomegranate fruit. Overall balance and length are very good. QED. Available in half-bottles and magnums as well as 750ml. Drink by 2040.

I believe this is the first vintage with Matt Harrop at the controls. I’m likely not recognized as the authority on Pinot Noir at The Wine Front, but I’ll do my best for you.
Dried rose perfume in with some fresh mint, deep raspberry flavour, a little almond and vanilla, plus some spice. It’s ripe, but not overly so, with cool acidity, a dusting of graphite tannin, and a long biscuity finish. It’s generous in style, but keeps itself trim. I’m particularly tickled by the quality of tannin here. Excellent. Drink 2020-2028+

This is a watershed for this producer with such well-assembled complexity, well-guarded purity and the kind of bright, vibrant tannin that is rarely seen outside Burgundy. Intense aromas of blood orange, pomegranate, red cherry, boldly spicy oak and a sapid, reductive edge. Lot of energy here. The palate has rich red and dark-cherry flavor with crisply defined tannins that carry long and refreshed into the finish with assertive acidity. Crunchy red-fruit finish. Give this a little more time to settle. Try from 2023. Screw cap.
