2018 Curator Stone Well Vineyard Shiraz

Matured in French oak of which 55% was new. Impenetrable inky black heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Wafting out of the glass are heady aromas of ripe blackberry, liquorice, dark plum and dark chocolate which are trailed by some vanillin oak and spicy mocha notes. Bold, rich and voluptuously textured the full bodied palate is saturated with lavish dark plum, liquorice and blackberry fruits which meld into earthy mocha, vanillin oak and spice characters on the back half. Velvet smooth yet sturdy tannin structure concluding long and opulent.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
