This is the 40th vintage of this classic Sunbury Shiraz. Midnight black dark red heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Blackpepper laced aromas of blackberry and liquorice drift from the glass combing with scorched earth, dried meat and spicy clove like notes along the way. Rich blackberry, liquorice and dark plum fruits carry plenty of flesh across the medium to full bodied palate. Smoky cedar, earth and peppered dried meat characters lend further complexity. Polished yet sturdy tannin structure with a long seductive pepper infused finish.
Drink over the next 8-10 years.
Alc. 14%

Other Reviews….
There are some wines that are special and unique because they not dictated by fashion nor shareholders. More importantly, they have a strong sense of place. That’s Craiglee. Expect a taste of dark plums, cedary oak, pepper and spice, licorice and gum leaf. The palate is full bodied, with ripe, silky tannins hugging all the way through to a resounding finish. Stamped with Craiglee DNA. Drink by 2038.
