2018 Craigie Knowe Estate Pinot Noir

Matured for 9 months in French oak barrels of which 25% were new. Semi translucent dark red colour with black tinged edges and a light red hue. Subtle violet top notes overlay aromatics of dark cherries, winter strawberries, forest floor, meaty game like notes, fresh herbs and spicy cedar. Light in body, the savoury palate is layered with dark cherry and winter strawberry fruits which give it a supple feel. Lying underneath are forest floor, game, subtle dried herb and spicy cedar elements. Good drive with finely grained yet structural tannins and fresh acidity leading into a long, spicy and complex finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
