2018 Coates The Nebbiolo

Matured for 18 months in French oak. Bright red colour with black tinged edges and a medium dark red hue. Vibrant cherry and red raspberry aromas mix with red plum, vanillin cedar, dried herb and delicate spicy earth notes. Very juicy and soft on the front palate, bright red cherry, red raspberry and red liquorice fruits overlay earth, subtle spicy leather and tobacco characters. The back half is a little sterner with robust but well integrated tannins and lively acidity. Long vibrantly red fruited and well structured conclusion.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
