2018 Claymore Wines Bittersweet Symphony Cabernet Sauvignon

Matured for almost 18 months in older French oak. Totally opaque midnight black core with dark red edges. Very ripe almost Ribena like blackcurrant scents emerge followed by stewed plum, vanillin cedar and mint notes. Medium to full bodied, flavours of cassis mix with dried cherries, earth, cedary tobacco and spicy mint characters. A rich plush mouthfeel backed by firm tannins which lead into a ripe finish that has a sturdy feel.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
