2018 Claude Geoffrey (Chateau Thivin) Vignes d'Ecussol Gamay Noir

Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Floral violet like notes stem from the glass trailed by red to dark cherry and raspberry fruits, incense, earth and fragrant spicy herb scents. Light in body, the savoury palate carries red cherry and strawberry fruits over earthy incense like characters and spicy dried herbs. Nicely pitched finish with vibrant acidity and slightly grainy tannins leading into a medium length aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
