Superb colour featuring an impenetrable inky black core and a deep dark red black hue. Sailing out of the glass are ripe blackcurrant and liquorice scents which are interwoven with scorched earth, cigar box and spice notes. Full in body and boasting a very rich profile of lush blackcurrant, black cherry and liquorice fruits which are backed by a sizeable framework. Scorched earth, spicy vanillin cedar and leather characters ensue on the back half. Firmly built tannins lend grip to a robust finish that possesses a new world generosity.
