Other Reviews....
This is also relatively high-toned as the fruit derives more from the red side of the spectrum. There is a bit more volume and mid-palate density to the rich and nicely energetic medium-bodied flavors that aren't as fine but do offer slightly better depth in an age-worthy package. Good stuff.

Allen Meadows - Burghound

Mid red to purple, picked in late August. Long rows of 450m go all the way up the slope, though interrupted by the patch in the middle which was replanted to chardonnay in 1999. 40% whole bunch vinification is employed. That character shows in refined raspberry and fresh strawberry, but the core of Grèves shows through too. Surprisingly rich fruit on the palate with just a touch of chocolate too. Very good length.
