Aged in American oak hogsheads for 2 years. Inky black heart with a deep dark red black hue. Pronounced black cherry and liquorice aromas intermix with toasty vanillin cedar and peppered earth notes. Rich black cherry and liquorice fruits dominate the large scaled palate with notions of spicy vanillin oak, scorched earth and pepper flowing onto the back half. A firmly built tannin structure lends a robust feel to the long spicy black fruited conclusion.
