Matured for 12 months in French oak hogsheads. Dense pitch black in colour with a deep dark red hue. Pronounced ripe blackcurrant and liquorice aromas mix with leather, earthy cedar and faint varnishy notes. Rich blackcurrant and liquorice flavours overlay an earthy leather back drop with some spice also present. Thick and heavy with ripe chewy tannins and an opulent yet drying aftertaste.
