2018 Black Jack Chortle’s Edge Shiraz

Produced with fruit from the Bendigo and Heathcote districts. Deep dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Generous dark plum, blackberry and liquorice scents mix with dark chocolate and spicy vanillin oak. Rich and fleshy the medium to full bodied palate is awash with dark plum, liquorice and blackberry fruits which overlay toasty vanillin oak and dark chocolate characters. Plush mouthfeel with velvet smooth tannins finishing long and opulent.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

Blackjack keeps it real. In a good way.It’s old school bang-for-buck, served fresh. Vanilla, blackberry, a good drench of plum, licorice and a sweet ripeness throughout. It hasn’t been overcooked but it’s textural, rich and satisfying. If you like a bit of oomph to your reds, this wine delivers it at an excellent price. Drink 2020-2028
