2018 Best's Great Western Foudre Ferment Riesling

Wild fermented in a large oak foudre. Brilliant water like colour with a shimmering green tinge to the edges. Intense ripe red apple, pear and lime aromas are overlaid by honeysuckle with quince, subtle orange blossom and light spice in hot pursuit. Fresh lime, juicy red apple and lemon flavours lead into a faint flintiness with flashes of honeysuckle and mineral also apparent. Finishes dry, steely and a touch restrained with crunchy acidity and a lingering medium length aftertaste.
