Produced from 80% Nerello Mascalese and 20% Nerello Cappuccio grapes that were sourced from vines 40 years old. Semi translucent bright dark red colour with a light rusty red hue. Fragrant red raspberry and red cherry scents infused with a mixture of volcanic rock and fresh herbs are trailed by earth and spice notes. Light in body savoury red fruits have a rustic feel being backed by stern, grippy tannins and fresh crunchy acidity. Dried herb, volcanic rock and spice characters evolve on the back half. Dry chalky finish with an elegant and focused aftertaste.
