2018 Benanti Contrada Monte Serra Etna Rosso

Made from 100% Nerello Mascalese grapes. Semi translucent red colour with a light brick red hue. Aromas of red cherries infused with rose petals and a mix of fresh and dried herbs are followed by some crushed rock and faint bitter orange like notes. Light in body with a supple entry the palate is flooded with a mix of red and dried cherry flavours which morph into dried herb, crushed rock, smoky earth and mineral elements. Fresh acidity with some light grip to the tannin structure. Concludes bright and savoury.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
