From 65 year old vines this wine is inky black in colour and has a deep black dark red hue. Intense blackberry, dark plum and liquorice aromas sail out of the glass trailed by vanillin oak, choc mint and spicy earth notes. Rich blackberry, dark plum and liquorice fruits cast an opulent feel across the full bodied palate with vanillin oak, subtlety scorched earth and mint on the back half. Velvety yet sturdily built tannins with a dash of pepper emerging on the lengthy finish.
