Matured in 20% new French oak for 11 months with 20% whole bunch. Semi translucent bright red core with a light crimson hue. An intensely fragrant nose features violet, ripe red cherry, strawberry and anise scents followed by some spicy fresh herb notes. Juicy ripe cherry, raspberry and strawberry flavours decorate the mouth underscored by vivid acidity with subtle forest floor and fresh herb infusions also evident. A supple palate feel and velvety tannins lead into a delicious medium to long finish.
