2018 Barrecas Cabernet Merlot

Totally opaque black dark red colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Aromas of blackcurrant and black olive are tempered by some toasty vanillin cedar notes, dried herbs and spicy tobacco. Medium to full bodied, rich blackcurrant and liquorice flavours are overlaid by prominent vanillin cedar and spicy tobacco characters with a touch of scorched earth also evident. Slightly grainy tannins provide some light grip to the aftertaste which sees lingering toasty vanillin cedar and spicy tobacco characters prevail.
