2018 Balgownie Estate Yarra Valley Pinot Noir

Aged in a combination of French oak barriques and puncheons for 9 months with the inclusion of 15% whole bunches in the ferment. Semi translucent red to dark red colour with a light red hue. Aromas of red cherries, winter strawberries and light rhubarb drift from the glass mixing with dried herbs, forest floor and subtle spicy cedar along the way. Very light in body, supplely textured flavours of dried cherries, subtle winter strawberries and rhubarb are welded to dried herbs, earth and spicy cedar. Velvet smooth tannins with an elegant medium to long aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
