2018 Badgers Brook Pinot Noir

Cropped at just over 2 tonnes to the acre from the excellent 2018 vintage, the wine matured for 11 months in French oak of which 20% was new. Semi translucent dark red colour with black tinged edges and a light red hue. Perfumed scents of violets, dark ripe cherries, strawberry and anise are drawn through the nostrils followed by subtle forest floor and spicy cedar notes. Delicious ripe dark cherry and strawberry flavours flood the light to medium bodied palate underpinned by anise, forest floor and spicy cedar elements. Beautifully supple in its mouthfeel with silky tannins. Finishes with a lick of bright acidity and a long moreish aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
