2018 Antonio Madeira A Palhevia Dao Tinto

Matured in French oak for 18 months. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red black tinged hue. At first the nose appears a touch unyielding with aromas of sour plum, red cherry and blueberry slowly evolving from the glass with earthy graphite, black olive and spice also evident. The energetic light to mid weighted palate features an elegant core of sour cherry, red plum and red liquorice fruits over earthy minerals, olive and subtle peppered meat elements. Bright acidity and chewy tannins with a fresh, minerally, slightly rustic conclusion.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
