Pitch black heart with a bright dark red purple hue. Lifted dark plum and liquorice aromas intermingle with vanillin cedar, inky earth, fennel and pepper. Medium weighted the palate features lush dark plum, blueberry and liquorice fruits over earthy vanillin cedar characters, fennel and spicy pepper. Fleshy in its feel with bright acidity and fine grained yet sturdy tannins. Long, slightly chewy finish.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc. 13.7%

Other Reviews…..
The lightest shade of these single site propositions. Definitively medium-bodied. Cherry Ripe. Succulent. Violet and salumi, too. The acidity melded with a well proportioned swathe of tannin. Beautifully. Long and effortless. This is the wine I would opt for most of all. At least for now. A succulence of fruit; a curb of tannin and juicy thoroughbred acidity. Drink by 2023.
