2017 Zontes Footstep Canto Sangiovese Lagrein

Great depth of colour displaying a pitch black core with a deep dark red black hue. Ripe blackcurrant, dark cherry and liquorice aromas sail out of the glass with a spicy overlay of scorched earth and subtle dried herb notes. Elegant, medium weight feel with dark cherry and blackcurrant flavours morphing into inky earth and spice characters on the dryish finish. Bright acidity and slightly chalky tannins give the aftertaste an inky feel.
