Other Reviews....
60% grown on two estate blocks planted '69, 40% planted '12 with French clones 95 and 548. Hand-picked, blast-chilled overnight, whole-bunch pressed, wild-fermented in French oak (30% new), matured for 10 months with no mlf. Light straw-green; the old vines clearly endow the palate with an extra layer of richness otherwise inexplicable.

The Yarra Yering wines are made by Sarah Crowe. The 1969-planted vineyard is the hero, no doubt, but the place got lucky the day Sarah Crowe walked through the door.
We’re in a good place now. Chardonnay has had its feast and its famine, its jokes and its cut downs. Now we can all get some sleep. This chardonnay has created a beautiful home, line and length both covered and strung, flavour allowed to roam, varietal character served unapologetically, flint notes given rope but not free reign, length pushed out to the horizon. The word stellar springs.
