One of Yalumba’s distinguished sites wines, the Paradox is sourced from the Northern Barossa and is made with an emphasis on velvet like texture and the use of less new oak than many of its counterparts. Maturation taking place in French oak puncheons with only 15% new oak employed for a period of 10 months.

Midnight black in colour with a deep dark red black hue. Heady scents of ripe blackberries, liquorice and dark chocolate intermingle with dark plum, lightly toasted vanillin cedar and subtle mocha notes. Rich, plush and expansive the palate is saturated with cascading waves of opulently textured dark plum, blackberry, liquorice and dark chocolate. Underneath sits subtly toasted vanillin cedar, fennel, traces of earth and spice. Velvet smooth yet structured tannins provide great support. Magnificent power and depth with a long, rich, deeply fruited aftertaste.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
Alc. 14%
