2017 Whites Road Roundabout Shiraz
Inky black in colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Heady aromas of ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark chocolate waft out of the glass with vanillin oak, mocha and spice also evident. Rich blackberry and liquorice fruits drive the opulently textured full bodied palate with elements of vanillin oak, scorched earth and spicy mocha also evident. Plenty of power with velvety tannins showing underling structure. Concludes long and plush.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc. 14.5%
Other Reviews….
Jarressa certainly keeps attention with a dazzlingly different artwork for its labels. This is a very good wine, right at the heart of (good) '17 flavours and style. From two vineyards with different crushing and fermentation controls, all parcels kept separate until blending, matured for 16 months in French oak (20% new). Drink by 2042.
