2017 Watt Whisky Loch Lomond (Croftengea) 6 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

"Strawberries and yoghurt" say the bottler's notes, and that rings true on the opening sniff, quickly eclipsed by sweet Highland peat. Similar to other examples of this tasty Loch Lomond variant, the palate has a lovely medium-dry, ashy quality, shifting to something more minerally and coastal while the richness of the malt remains ever present. For a whisky that starts off so quietly, the booming finish is completely unexpected. Great stuff! 252 bottles from a bourbon barrel. 57.1% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
