2017 Von Hovel Saar Riesling Kabinett

Brilliant water like colour with a distinctive greenish tone to the edges. Ripe red apple and lime aromas intermix with light honeysuckle, orange blossom, quince and a subtle minerality. Fruity ripe lime and red apple flavours overlaid by honeysuckle are followed by traces of pineapple and infusions of orange blossom. Slightly off dry finish with vibrant citrusy acidity and a medium length aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Epic drinking. Sweetness is overt but neatly matched to green apple malic tang. Brisk and cool, limey finish, licks of honey, that lift of acidity helping the wine flow. Drinkability through the roof. Drink 2018-2021.
