Aged in American oak barrels (10% new) for 9 months. Superb inky black dark purple colour with a deep bright dark purple hue. Inky blueberry, liquorice and dark plum aromas overlay lightly toasted vanillin cedar, faint earth and spice. Elegant with a youthful inky feel, the medium bodied palate possesses rich blueberry, liquorice and plum fruits finishing with vanillin cedar, inky earth and spice. Vibrant acidity with slightly dryish fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of inky ripe blueberries, liquorice, plum, vanillin cedar and spicy dried herbs.
