Excellent depth of colour displaying a pitch black core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced ripe blackcurrant and liquorice scents combine with vanillin cedar, subtle tobacco and spicy dried herb notes. Medium to full bodied the palate has an abundance of rich blackcurrant, black cherry and liquorice flavours which sit over a back drop of vanillin cedar, traces of earth and light tobacco. Spicy finish with an opulent mouthfeel and ripe well integrated tannins providing a sturdy framework. Excellent length with a long concentrated aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years.

Originally Tasted August 2018:
This youthful but very well made Cabernet was sourced from the Valle de Uco and Lujan de Cuyo appellations and aged in American oak barrels (10% new) for 9 months. Totally opaque black dark red core with a bright dark red black tinged hue. Nosing offers up a combination of ripe red currant, liquorice and subtle blueberry scents followed by cedary tobacco notes and fresh spicy herbs. Generous to the point of being almost juicy the palate delivers a vibrant flavour profile of blackcurrant, liquorice and a touch of blueberry that shows excellent concentration. An undercard of spicy vanillin cedar and earthy herb infusions is balanced by fresh acidity and fine grained tannins. Excellent length with a long blackcurrant, blueberry, liquorice, spicy vanillin cedar and earthy herb aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc. 14.1%
