Aged for 12 months in used barriques. Semi translucent dark red core with black tinged edges and a light red hue. Emanating from the glass are fragrant scents of violets, fresh herbs and ripe red cherries followed by faint earth and spice notes. Light and supple in its texture, the palate is layered with ripe cherry fruit that shows good drive over a background of light wood smoke, forest floor, fresh herbs and spice. Velvety tannins with a savoury medium to long aftertaste that has a ripe, generous feel.
