2017 Valle Secreto Private Syrah Carmenere Cabernet Sauvignon

This excellent blend of 40% Syrah, 35% Carmenere and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon is an amalgam of richness, refinement and structure. Maturation took place in new French oak barrels for 18 months. Dense inky black colour with a very deep black dark red hue. Ripe black cherry and blackcurrant aromas have Carmenere’s distinct trademark tobacco overlay with dusty vanillin cedar, dried herbs and spice also evident. Full in body and boasting superb concentration, the palate is saturated with a deep well of cassis, blackberry and ripe black cherry fruits. Adding complexity onto the power packed finish are elements of tobacco, vanillin cedar, dried herbs and spice. Fine grained yet sturdily built tannins provide a core framework for the fruit to work around. Concludes long and rich.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
