2017 Turkey Flat Vineyards Grenache

Fruit was sourced predominately 98 year old vines and 15% was included as whole bunches. Maturation took place in a combination of neutral oak foudre and 20% second use Burgundian barrels for 12 months.
Vibrant dark red colour with a bright purple red hue. Aromas of spicy ripe raspberries and red liquorice intermingle with hints of dried clove, vanillin cedar and some peppered meat notes. Delicious ripe raspberry, plum and liquorice flavours sit over a back drop of spicy vanillin cedar, traces of earth and pepper. Dryish finish with tightly grained tannins and bright acidity giving the wine tension. Long spicy dark raspberry, plum, liquorice, dried meat, vanillin cedar and peppered herb aftertaste.
