Bursting with delicious dark fruits this is a very moreish blend

A blend of 46% Shiraz, 38% Grenache and 16% Mataro aged in French oak of which only 2% was new. Includes 9% whole bunch fruit. Deep dark red black tinged colour with a dark red hue. Intense blackberry, liquorice and dark raspberry aromas gently infused with subtle notions of clove are followed by some earth, dried meats and spice. The juicy mid weight palate is bursting with delicious spicy blackberry, dark raspberry and liquorice fruits which meld into some scorched earth and subtle meaty dried herb influences. Fleshy mouthfeel with velvet like tannins, bright underlying acidity and a long moreish aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
Alc. 14.1%

Other Reviews…..
Shiraz, grenache and mataro sourced from some of the 150yo vines on the estate. The price is extremely low for a wine with such history. Red, blue and black berry fruits are woven together by a gently savoury film of tannins and subtle oak justifying the choice to drink it now or much later. Drink by 2027.
