2017 The Wilson Vineyard Pepperstone Shiraz

Aged in a combination of French and American oak for a minimum of 12 months. Impenetrable inky black in colour with a deep dark red black hue. Wafting out of the glass are hedonistic aromatics of ripe blackberries, liquorice and dark chocolate which meld into vanillin oak and spicy mocha notes. Plush and weighty, the palate is layered with blackberry, liquorice and dark chocolate flavours. Some prominent toasty vanillin oak then moves in with earthy mocha and spice also present. Velvet smooth tannins concluding with a generous yet oak driven aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
