2017 The Black Chook Shiraz

Fruit was sourced from McLaren Vale and Padthaway to produce this fleshy Shiraz. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. The nose tosses up aromas of aniseed, dark plum, toasty oak and spicy earth. Medium to full bodied, generous flavours of aniseed and liquorice are to the fore. Fleshy feel with some toasty oak, scorched earth and spicy pepper lurking beneath. Polished tannins with a medium length conclusion.
