A blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon and 16% Shiraz aged for 20 months in 60% new French oak. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Pronounced ripe blackcurrant aromas mix with vanillin cedar, tobacco, red liquorice, dusty earth and bay leaf notes. Rich blackcurrant fruits dominate the full bodied palate with notions of red plum, liquorice, vanillin cedar, earthy tobacco and spicy dried herb characters also chiming in. Fine polished tannins with a long blackcurrant driven conclusion.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 13.5%

Other Reviews….
A cooler season works its magic, lifting the violet perfume of cabernet, the black pepper of shiraz, the bright tang of acidity and the fine-ground energy of enduring, chalk-bound tannins. Regional menthol assumes its rightful place. Medium-bodied effortlessness is refreshing. A keeper. Drink by 2037.
