2017 Tapanappa Foggy Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir

Aged in French oak barriques of which 30% were new. Semi translucent dark red colour with black tinged edges and a light red hue. Intense and full of spice the nose offers up aromatics of dark cherries and strawberries laced with smoky clove like characters. Spicy vanillin cedar, some meatiness and dried herb scents follow on. Light in body but with good underlying drive the palate possesses a savoury flavour profile of dark cherries and strawberries infused with clove and smoky cedar which sits over a back drop of forest floor and spicy dried herbs. Bright acidity and finely textured tannins with an aftertaste of red and dark cherries, clove, smoky cedar, forest floor and dried herbs.
