Totally opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Aromas of blackcurrant and ripe mulberry are overlaid by hint of bay leaf with subtle cedary tobacco and spice notes also evident. On the palate there’s a good expression of richness across a range of blackcurrant, mulberry and liquorice fruits. Gentle cedary tobacco and spicy dried herb characters sit underneath. Fine grained tannins have some sturdiness behind them. Concludes with medium length.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc. 14%
Elegant, fresh and linear. Purple red in colour of medium depth. It's all fresh, blackcurrant and blackberry, pie-like vanilla crust with a sprinkle of vanilla. The cooler season bringing more precise and higher contrast fruit with slightly chalky tannins. The framework more refined, the result better.
Drink by 2030.
