Matured for 17 months in French oak. Deep dark red core with black tinged edges and a medium deep red hue. The nose is filled with perfumed like scents of violets, ripe dark cherries, plums and subtle anise which are interwoven with light forest floor, stalky cedar and spicy fresh herb notes. Delicious red to black cherry, red plum and strawberry fruits are both fresh and juicy in their feel. Ensuing are complexing nuances of spicy vanillin cedar, forest floor and stalky fresh herb like characters. Superb power and structure with the fruit framed by bright acidity and sturdy yet polished tannins. Concludes long, refined and elegant.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 13.5%

Other Reviews….
A complex, youthful nose with plenty of potential, as the spicy oak sits up across brambly, fresh and vibrant cherry aromas. The palate has a very succulent feel – plenty of moreish appeal here. The tannins are so juicy and alluring. Really expansive at the finish. Drink or hold.
