2017 Sidewood Chardonnay

Matured for 10 months in French oak. Brilliant very pale straw colour with a slight tinge of green to the outskirts and a watery hue. The nose shows good lift with white peach and ripe nectarine aromas draped with dried honey over some subtlety toasted biscuity oak and nougat notes. Elegant and creamy in texture the palate sports a refined flavour profile of white peaches, nectarine and dried honey underscored by citrus, light biscuit and nougat. Finishes dry with vibrant acidity and an aftertaste of white peaches, nectarines, dried honey, nougat and citrus.
Cellar 4-5 years.
