Matured in mostly older oak for 12 months. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark purple hue. Intense ripe black cherry and aniseed aromas mix with blackberry, vanillin cedar, inky earth and spice notes. Full in body, rich juicy black cherry and liquorice flavours dominate the palate with some luscious blackberry, inky earth and spicy vanillin cedar characters also evident. Dry, slightly inky finish with ripe chewy tannins and a medium to long aftertaste.
