Deep purple dark red core with black tinged edges and a bright purple red hue. Fresh dark raspberry, plum and liquorice aromas are trailed by vanillin confectionary and subtle spice notes. Light to medium weight the palate has a juicy freshness to it with flavours of dark raspberries, spicy plums and traces of liquorice over some vanillin confectionary characters. Lively, slightly dryish finish with polished tannins and a medium length aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.

A 65/26/9% blend. A fresh and almost elegant release from this vintage. Aromas of plums and perfume from the principal varieties set the theme, and the bright red-fruited flavours flow easily along the palate with gently persistent tannin and acid in tow. Enjoyable now and another year or two should flesh it out to good effect. Drink over 2024.
