2017 Salomon Estate Finniss River Braeside Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Matured for 18 months in small French oak barrels, on third of which were new. Pitch black in colour with a deep dark red black hue. Lifted aromas of ripe blackcurrant and subtle liquorice have a distinct bay leaf overlay with some cigar box and spicy black olive notes also chiming in. Medium to full bodied, rich blackcurrant flavours infused with bay leaf drive the palate over cigar box, earth and spice. Firmly structured tannins have a grainy feel and lend some grip to the mid length aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years.

Matured in small French barrels (33% new) for 18 months. A very long palate, with finesse and intensity, oak and fruit a single stream of flavour, tannins providing the banks. Drink by 2037.
