Deep midnight black core with a very dark red hue. Wafting from the glass are heady scents of dark plum, liquorice and vanillin oak which combine with some mocha, subtle earth and spice. Rich, voluptuous and silky the full bodied palate is a saturate of lush dark plum, liquorice and blackberry fruits which overlay a toasty vanillin oak, mocha and spicy earth back drop. Excellent power and depth with velvet smooth tannins and a long opulent conclusion.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc. 14.5%

Other Reviews…
Single vineyard, old vine Barossa shiraz heightens emotions, expectations. But first, a little air, please. Maybe one more swirl. It's tight, a touch closed and will definitely take its own sweet time to reveal more. Briar, loganberry, red fruits, dusty oak all coming together nicely in balance, and as one.
Drink by 2036.
