2017 Rockbare RB1 Shiraz

Impenetrable inky black in colour with a deep dark red black hue. Jumping out of the glass are intense aromatics of blackberry, liquorice and black cherry which are trailed by lightly smoked vanillin cedar, hints of fennel and peppered earth notes. Full in body yet relatively refined in its feel, rich blackberry, liquorice and dark plum fruits overlay subtlety toasted vanillin cedar and blackpepper characters. Nicely balanced with fine grained tannins and a medium to long aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
